IDAG supports aerial firefighting activities in Australia
International Defense and Aerospace Group, LLC (“IDAG”) and HeliQwest International (“HeliQwest”)  have partnered to provide best-in-class firefighting support in Australia. HeliQwest is currently operating an IDAG refurbished UH-60A Blackhawk, equipped with an external firefighting tank, for rapid fire suppression missions in Australia. Both IDAG and HeliQwest are industry-leading global aviation companies focused on delivering complex solutions for any environment and mission-set. The growing number of destructive wildfires world-wide have led to a considerable increase of demand for robust, proven and cost-efficient firefighting aircraft. The UH-60A platform meets the criteria perfectly. IDAG has been systematically building a firefighting fleet of UH-60s to address the fire seasons in Europe and Australia (which do not overlap) with the intention to move assets between geographies on a short notice. “The UH-60A is one of the versatile helicopters on the planet and is well-suited for the fire-suppression mission-set,” said Bob Caldwell, Co-Founder and CEO of IDAG. “We were happy when HeliQwest approached us to support such an important mission, and we stand ready to respond to similar challenges in the future, in any time zone.”
